About STRANGEkit
We are an artist collective led by Artistic Directors Celina Mack and Savanna Wegman.
Inspired by multi-disciplinary contemporary performance practices and theatre, STRANGEkit creates unique events devoid of concrete explanation but rich with new questionings, meditative serenity and deeply confused chaos.
Our collective grew out of an alignment of passions and a desire to experiment with making a hybrid performance style. Excited by the prospect of discovering new forms and languages, Celina and Savanna joined forces in the humble Monash Wholefoods cafeteria where they conjured up visions of epic spectacle, unexpected collaborations and impossible compositions.
We are currently evolving our performance work with digital spaces, translating our mediums, moods, sensations and offerings to be accessed online during this time. We’re excited by new possibilities and connections in public and private digital spaces and look forward to joining our audiences/viewers in collaboration through our STRANGEkit community.
The STRANGEkit Collective have been previously supported by Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST).
MUST is a department of the Monash Student Association, run by professional theatre makers, that creates vibrant, innovative theatre by, with and for Monash Students and the wider community.

STRANGEkit creates and collaborates on the land of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung Peoples of the Kulin nation, the Ngarigo People and the Wamba Wamba and Barapa Barapa Peoples. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and the Elders of these traditional lands past, present and emerging. We recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
